Polycrystalline diamond composite (PDC) is an ultra-hard composite material produced using a six-sided press under high temperature and high pressure conditions. It combines artificial diamond powder, binder, and hard alloy matrix in one firing process. This material combines the high wear resistance of diamonds with the high impact resistance of hard alloys. Drills made from PDC not only significantly extend the life of the drill bit but also markedly improve drilling efficiency. Currently, it is widely used in coalfields, geology, oil, and natural gas fields.
